We had a brilliant first session back after the school holiday, celebrating all things ladybirds. Thanks to a warm Spring and Summer, these iconic little creatures are flourishing again, which is great news for pest control and our ecosystem!
This Summer, Little Sprouts held several parties for budding young environmentalists. This party focused on (my personal favourite): BEES - we planted bee friendly plants, made bee hotels and even a pollinators water station. For a unique party with an important message, get in touch.
Each of our sessions include some sensory play, and here, we created some 'mouth-safe' soil for the children to dig into, and discover what food can grow in the ground (as well as what creatures might be living in there!)
This Autumn, we're learning more about where our food comes from, including growing our own herbs - a lovely activity that teaches children that with a little care and patience, nature is full of rewards.
Did you catch us at Happy Place? We had the best time crafting wellness tools out of natural materials. It's never too young to teach children how to nurture happy, healthy minds. Contact us for more ideas on how Little Sprouts can help with wellbeing.
During Reptile Week, we had a very special guest - Tilly Tortoise! Tilly is a lovely affectionate little tort and all the children made her feel very welcome (and full up on berries!) We hope to bring her to more sessions over the coming months.
